Isolated Glass

Isolated glass is realized by joining two panes of glass along the perimeter. It’s used in the building industry, in particular for doors, windows and façades to reduce thermal heat loss. It’s made of two or more panes of glass joined together along the perimeter using a metal frame (alluminum,stainless steel or polymeric one). Once joined they are seperated by air or gas (argon, kryton or xenon) and also has sound isolating qualities compared to single pane glass.
